We know many of you may be concerned about Coronavirus (COVID-19). Let me assure you that your dental office is one of the safest places you can be. We have always taken proper precautions to prevent the spread of illness and will continue to do so now and in the future. Common and treatment areas are regularly cleaned and sanitized for the safety of both our patients and our staff.
To mitigate your concerns, we will be running a lighter schedule to minimize contact between patients. Where possible, we ask patients to maintain some distance to others in the reception area. We will minimize your time in common areas and, if desired, you may check in by phone and remain in your car until a staff member calls you to let you know when you can be seated in a private room.
There are currently only 5 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Ventura County. No staff members have traveled outside of Ventura County and no one is displaying any flu-like symptoms. We have a vested interest in being very careful about the spread of illness as 4 of our staff have young children, including infants, and Dr.'s wife is immune-compromised. In light of this, we are following the California Dental Association’s (CDA) expectation that we will “continue to be available as needed for emergency care and services.” In the words of Winston Churchill,
