| As a member of our patient family, we wanted to reach out directly to give you helpful information about how we work diligently to protect you at every appointment as well as share some helpful approaches to your next appointment as we navigate the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our everyday lives. The health of our patients is of the utmost importance to us. Please be aware that patients will not be penalized for any changes to their appointments due to COVID-19. We have always placed the importance of sterilizing and disinfecting all aspects of our practice as a top priority and now we have taken our diligence to a heightened level. We are trained as healthcare providers on the ways to protect and keep ourselves and our patients safe and healthy, some of the ways this is being done at a heightened level is through the following: - We are taking additional measures to effectively and constantly sanitize not only the clinical area but all public areas of our practice, from the reception area to the restroom. We are also adding ways that you can protect yourself throughout your appointment, such as making hand sanitizing stations readily available to you throughout the practice. - We are upholding our usual and customary standards of care and continuously train as a team to ensure that we are exceeding standards of health and safety for all that come through our practice doors. For the health and safety of all, we would like to recommend the following: - If you are feeling sick, have recently been sick or suspect any possibility that you may have been exposed to Coronavirus, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. In return, you can count on us to stay home should a member of our team begins to feel ill. - If you are immunocompromised, have a health history that puts you at risk, or are 65 years of age or older, please reach out to us to reschedule your appointment. - If you would prefer to wait in your car instead of coming inside to await your appointment, simply call our office from your car and a member of our team will be happy to come and escort you into the practice as soon as we are ready to see you. This would reduce your amount of time in our more public spaces if that is a concern to you. - We are always happy to see you and please know that we will be refraining from handshakes and other forms of physical contact short of our work on your oral care, we ask you to avoid handshakes and the usual customary forms of greeting as well. It is our hope that we can handle dental emergencies so that the local hospitals won't have to. Per the CDA, we will continue to be available as needed for emergency care and services as long as possible. . In closing, we are staying notified of all recommendations given to us by the CDC and are doing our best to stay open and available to care for you and your healthcare needs.
