Many of you have met Dr. Stein's wonderful wife, Joyce. Those who know her will readily testify to her kind heart, beautiful soul, and generous love! If I wrote a novel here, I still could not begin to express what a special woman she is to all those who know her! She spent many years working side-by-side with Dr. Stein at his dental practice but, she has been unable to do so for the last 3 years due to her health.
During this time, the amazing doctors at UCLA have been treating Joyce and preparing her for a potential lung transplant. Just last week, we got the news that Joyce has been placed on the registry to receive new lungs!! She is on the list with only one person ahead of her and the doctors believe that a call should be coming any time in the next several months for her to receive her transplant!
When the call comes, Dr. Stein will have to spend some time out of the office and we are asking for patience, prayers, and understanding from all of our patients and friends. We can not predict the day or time that the call will come but, we will do our best to give our patient family good notice of any schedule changes needed.
